Welcome to lizard-house I was just watching "My Fair Lady" on tv...love that film. Audrey Hepburn was pure perfection, in everything that she did. Great flick. Rumor has it, Truman Capote based his infamous Black and White Ball after the Ascot scene in that film. And Dominick Dunne and his wife Lenny had a similar Black and White Ball a few years before Capote's. A few years ago, I was in the sort of "Garment District" of London, and there were these GREAT hat shops...I wanted SO much to have a reason to order a fabulous hat with big ostrich feathers and such. Speaking of which, the September issue of Vogue (always the biggest-hitter of the year) is over 800 pages, and weighs over a pound. So much for the economy being shot, eh? The ads outweigh the articles...the contributors page (usually the first thing you see past the ads, right?) is on page 280! But Kate Hudson looks heavenly on the cover. I've never thought she was beautiful before, but, damn, she looks amazing. I want her hair on that cover. Actually, I want anyone's hair but mine right now...it's humid and hot here, and my hair is like a full-blown marshmallow...I've got a bit of wave, which means my hair gets frizzy as hell in humidity. And, welcome to lizard-house, by the way...came home tonight to not one, but two lizards lurking on the walls. I escorted them out politely. Miss These?
