The eye doctor Ok, another entry for the night...a silly one. I went to a new eye doctor today, sounds like no big deal, but I've only been to one eye doctor (I know they are called opthalmologists or something, but they are eye doctors) since I was ten years old. I have fairly bad eyes, without correction, and have worn contact lenses since I was 11. So I have gone to Dr. Tammy since then. But Dr. Tammy just isn't very friendly, considering I have gone to her for 20 years. And she doesn't accept any insurance, which is a bit silly. I used to stay with her because she was great when I was a child and had some eye problems, and she took care of them. But since I have stopped growing, (well, upwardly, at least) there's really no need for me to have a private practice specialist anymore. I was still a little nervous to see a new doctor. He turned out to be great...diagnosed my eyes in 10 minutes as the same prescription that Dr. Tammy used to take 30 minutes to do, and was very realistic about how often I actually have to take the lenses out for. And SO much cheaper! So that's my happy eye doctor story for the day! Miss These?
